Scholastic 3D Archery Certification:

This course is designed to give you the knowledge to confidently teach archery and the S3DA program to youth in your area. This course will give you a comprehensive overview of the S3DA program, equipment used, range set-up, basic archery form, safety in teaching the first shot, S3DA games, and the Pope & Young Clear Path Bowhunting Initiative. Instructors will also learn how to build an after school program or team in their area.

The S3DA program allows archers to grow and develop as an individual and as a team in the sport of archery under the guidance of an instructor. Archers are able to shoot and compete with a variety of bow styles in categories based on school age: elementary, middle and high school. Throughout the fall and winter months, archers practice and compete on NFAA targets, following NFAA rules and regulations. In the spring and summer, archers will practice and compete on 3D targets following ASA rules and regulations. For more information about S3DA, please visit their website: www.S3DA.org.
